Provides technical assistance to field personnel for the implementation of Chesapeake''s Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures. Work with the operations staff to collect and maintain required EHS data. Work with the Corp EHS staff to provide interpretation, clarification and training and resolve problems.
Ensures regulatory compliance and conformance with Chesapeake EH&S policies at Chesapeake facilities and construction related projects.
Monitors compliance with regulation and CHK policy, as well as performance of contractors during construction, reclamation and remediation projects.
Ensures that required data is collected, maintained and processed for Chesapeake''s facilities to support the development of all regulatory required compliance plans.
Ensures appropriate data is collected for preparation of applications for environmentally related permits, i.e. air, stream crossings, storm water, floodplains.
Ensures that local field operations are aware of and complaint with permitted conditions of operation.
Acts as the primary trainer for all field level EH&S training.
Develops potential corrective actions to address deficiencies noted in field observations.
Leads in the investigation and resolution of Company violations of a regulatory nature, including field investigations.
Provide field input for the development or improvement of Company policies and procedures.
As directed, provides and maintains a direct relationship and communication with local, State and Federal agency personnel at the local level.
Communicate with the corporate EH&S group to resolve violations, maintain permits and address releases.
Assists with the cleanup and/or remediation of spilled materials.
Completes other duties as may be assigned.
Acts as primary liaison between daily field operations and corporate EH&S.
Participates in Emergency Response activities by providing EH&S technical support.
Participates in Emergency Response drills.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma
3 years of oil field production experience
Effective verbal and written skills.
Administrative and organizational skills.
Experience in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
Working knowledge of applicable environmental statutes and regulations.
Working knowledge of oil and gas industry or other earthmoving industry.
Able to function in field conditions and inclement weather.
Must have valid State issued drivers license and be able to travel, including overnight travel, work evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred:
Bachelor''s degree in related field
3 years EHS backgroundEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
